B. Dates as they Relate to Program Requirements for Graduate Students:

As a part of your Master's program, you must pass your program's required MTEL Communication and Literacy Skills, Subject Test, and Foundations of Reading exams prior to registering for your required Capstone/Portfolio course.

Newly Admitted Students: Sign-up as early as possible to start taking the MTEL. Once you start your program, you will not have many available test administrations to complete your program's MTEL requirements. Therefore, we encourage you to sign-up to take the March, May, July, or September tests before or as you enter the program to give yourself ample time to complete the MTEL..  Graduate applicants are welcome to participate in Wheelock MTEL preparation support classes if they have made a deposit for processing their application.

Current Students: Review your recorded MTEL scores in your Course History located on the Student Portal (you must login to do this). If you have completed portions of the MTEL that are not recorded in your Course History, please forward a copy of your Official Test Report to the Office of Records and Registration (1st floor ACW).
