This program allows students and alumni the unique opportunity to experience the healing process that is underway in Northern Ireland after decades of sectarian fighting. Juniors, seniors, graduate students, and alumni will travel to Belfast and study the exemplary reconciliation efforts in early childhood settings.

They will explore what this process can teach us about helping children living in communities affected by conflict around the world. Participants will also engage in cultural activities and explore the beautiful landscape.

Wheelock College and Colleges of the Fenway students interested in participating in this program must:

  • Submit an application and be admitted
  • Register in Spring 2010 for EDU 260 or EDU 850 (2 credits)
  • Attend all preliminary sessions
Applications are due October 15, 2009.
