"There was nothing I wanted more than a school that holds in the highest regard the work that I wanted to do."

Since 1955, Wheelock College's School of Graduate and Continuing Studies has been providing an exceptional advanced education to people from around the U.S. and around the globe. Our students seek to to improve the lives of children and families -- and society, in general -- by becoming successful practitioners, leaders, and advocates in  fields such as Child Life, Family Studies, Human Development, Social Work, Education, and Organizational Leadership.

At the graduate level, we offer degree programs, post-baccalaureate certificates, and professional development courses, as well as various continuing education institutes throughout the year. This variety of offerings enables us to support the broad array of academic goals and professional development needs of our students.

Evening and weekend courses enable students to schedule courses as their personal and professional schedules allow. Students engage in the classroom and in field experiences with experts and advocates from multiple fields of study. This close collaboration in combining theory and scholarship with real-world research and preactice enable our students to expand their horizons, embrace best practices, and tailor their learning experience to their professional goals.
