Passion for Action Scholarship Program

The Passion for Action Scholarship Program recognizes and supports outstanding students from the greater Boston area who have demonstrated an emerging commitment to and passion for their communities. The program helps scholars nurture and apply their passion to become leaders for positive change in their community, nation, and world. The program is a wonderful manifestation of Wheelock's mission to improve the lives of children and families. It is the most prestigious and generous scholarship awarded by the College.

Five members of each incoming first-year class are designated Passion for Action Scholars. Each scholar receives an annual scholarship of $20,000 for four years. While at Wheelock, scholars are expected to continue their community service and develop their leadership skills.

On November 4, 2009, Wheelock hosted its second Passion for Action Leadership Award Dinner at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.
