Computer Labs & Classrooms

The Wheelock College Library has two computer labs on the Lower Level with workstations available for students, faculty and staff. Faculty and staff may also reserve the labs to serve as classroom learning environments.

Hours

The labs are open during all Library hours. These hours include extended hours near the end of each semester. Please refer to the Library Hours page for more specific information.

Resources

There are two computer labs. The larger of the two has 16 computers; the smaller has 8 computers.  All computers can run both Windows XP and Mac OSX.   The computers do not have floppy disk drives, but they do have CD/DVD-Rom drives and USB ports. The following is a list of software available on all computers:

• Microsoft Office 2007 (Windows side) and 2008 (Mac side)
• Adobe Acrobat Reader
• Alice
• Firefox
• Sketchpad
• SPSS
• Tinkerplots
  

Please Note: The Library prohibits downloading of additional software on all machines. If you feel you need additional software installed, please contact IT with your request.

If you are in need of technical assistance, please see a Library staff member at the Circulation Desk or Reference Desk. If we are unable to help you, we will refer you to Information Technology (ext. 2309).

To reserve either lab for classroom use, please fill out the Facilities Room Reservation form.
