The Resource Center is an exciting workspace designed for exploration, work and play with materials and technologies used in environments that support the growth and development of children and their families.
Our hands-on studio space houses a resource library of 1,200+ items which can be searched online and borrowed for personal use for up to one week. Computer work stations are also available that model the use of integrated technology with children. Exhibits of teacher-made materials are on display throughout the Center.
During the fall and spring semester, the Resource Center hosts drop-in workshops on a variety of curriculum topics. These hands-on workshops are free of charge. Past topics include: documentation presentation, asthma, literacy for emergent readers, digital imaging, science kits, making math games, quilts, rubber stamps, pendulums, musical instruments and papermaking.
The Resource Center staff is available to help you locate materials and to use the Center's equipment. The Director is available to meet individually with students to discuss curriculum projects and course assignments.
